Well.... I'm a thinking if we are going to start a family blog that maybe I should be the first to submitt something. I guess this is the BIG "Celebration" week for all of us Mormons in Sanford and Manassa. I will post pictures of the goings on later. But more importantly this week we have Tish and Jess's wedding reception coming up on Saturday, July 26th. As you all know they did get married on April 15th with just their immediate family attending. (Mom's and Dad's. We threw in a couple of sisters too!) They wanted to have a reception for close family and friends and thought now would be the best time to do so. All the kids will be part of that celebration. All 11 grandkids. Seven original and four new ones! So we have a big weekend just for that.

The first picture was taken on July 4th. Leann's family and Lynn and I went camping up by Creede. The second picture was taken not too long after Jess and Tish got married. The next one was taken a couple of days after the wedding. Leann wanted to show her kids Zappatta Falls so we all hiked up there again with the kids.

We are getting a big kick out of Jay these days. He is getting into the acting business!! We have laughed.....Big tough Jay was asked to be in the Pagent this year!! Can't wait to see his acting abilities. Just something else to tease him about.

I have been really busy getting a float ready for the Sanford parade. After 38 years I still can't figure out how in the heck I still am building floats!! Oh well....this too will end. At least for this year. Jay and Leann have kept us busy going to softball tournaments for several weekends. First Jay in Taos, then the little boys in their "T-Ball" and "Coach Pitch" games, then Jay again in Gunnison. Poor Mom has to wait in the wings for attention from us.

Kayla too has had lots of adventures lately. She babysits for Tish full time.(When Tish has the kids) and in between has had 4 weeks of basketball camps and so far 2 weeks of volleyball camps. She starts volleyball for the school year on Aug. 11. So see just like all of you, we are really overwhelmed with summer family activities.

I know Anna has all Chandra's trip to tell, Raissa has McKensi's National qualification stuff to tell and of Course Boy and the upcoming wedding. Would love to hear about Carrie, Lucas, and Kristy's families. So spread the word around about this blog and maybe it will be a good thing for all to contribute too.
