Home is Where the Heart Is
It has been a while since anyone has updated the Blog so I am just adding a scrapbook page that I had done recently. I have to tell you about it. One evening while we were eating dinner I looked out the window and here comes Trason with Hobo. He led him from the corral to the basketball court because he wanted to ride him. No shoes, no fear, no worries. It is a wonder that he didn't get steped on or something worse. But as the layout depicts....Home is definately where the heart is!

Jonas Loves Jesus
This is a mini-report that Jonas wrote at school one day. I wanted to share it with you all. We are so very proud of Jonas, because he was excited to share his love of the Lord with his peers at school. These days that isn't a common thing.
Jonas decided to be baptized last May, after a long time of learning about Jesus and why He died for us. He accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior, and will some day go to Heaven because of what Jesus did for us... He died on the cross to wash away our sins so we could go to heaven to be with God.
If you click on the picture you can read what he wrote.

New Family Member "Koda"
May I introduce our newest family member.....Koda, AKS "Chico" (at least by Grandma)
Chico and I make the perfect match.....He's the "POOPER" and I'm the "SCOOPER".
Oh, by the way, no, he is not a Mortensen puppy, his last name is Gartrell. His residence is at the Gartrell's unless I am baby-sitting.

A Tribute of Strength to My Sisters
We grew together through a strong family …
A family that held dear, solid values and high expectations;
We were challenged to do our best;
To excel to high levels of accomplishment wherever possible;
This kept us strong and made us who we are today.
And through these years, as we grew up,
And life would pull each of us in different directions;
We sometimes grew briefly apart …
Only to be drawn together again through strong family bonds.
As my older sister, and later my younger sister, I longed to emulate you …
Endlessly mimicking your style, your music, your clothing and your passion for life.
Always wanting to be as popular and loved as you both were;
Always hanging on to each of your words in hopes that
Your strength, passion and dreams would follow through to me.
And although we were several years apart in age,
And my antics must often have been a burden to you over the years;
You guys very often lovingly kept me grounded as only a sisters could do.
I learned from you, a great strength that I could find only in myself …
For many times I admired your steadfast opinions, your thoughts and feelings …
Your want and need for something more than what was before you.
The sisters I’ve known through all these years,
Are strong, independent and forthright women …
Someone I have admired and learned from.
A women who knows what they want and is not afraid to ask for it …
For that is how I have always seen you,
And that is the sisters that I know and admire.
Remember dear sisters … this love I have for you is not new
It is merely the re-birth of the strong and loving feelings
That I have always admired, loved and learned from.
For only through lessons learned, can we create our own happiness;
… You have taught me this.
Love you guys,
Linda
